Line Rossau's favorite jewelry

Line Rossau (33) is the founder of Line Rossau Jewellery. She lives in Copenhagen with her partner Anders Voss (41) and their three children - Oda, 5, and the twins Lulu and Babette, 1.5 years old.

Summer is upon us, and for Line, the holiday season means more time with family. Line always makes sure that her jewellery is both beautiful and practical, so it doesn't get in the way when she entertains and looks after her little ones. “I always wear my rings, which symbolise my children. They are a constant reminder of them, no matter where I am,” Line says. Read our latest Love Story and get a glimpse into Line's home and favourite jewellery.

Sun and rain

When the sun shines and the temperature rises, there is nothing that complements summer clothing better than the perfect jewellery. Although the weather can be unpredictable, with both sunny days and rainy weeks, jewellery always adds a touch of elegance and personal style to any occasion. For Line Rossau, jewellery is not just for show, but also carries a deep personal meaning.

The symbolism and love in the jewellery

Two of Line's rings represent her children, and she chose them with great care to ensure that they are both beautiful and meaningful. One ring, dedicated to her eldest daughter Oda, is adorned with a large, beautiful ruby. “The ruby is so vibrant and powerful, just like Oda - full of life, but not perfect. It was important for me to find something that truly captured her essence,” Line explains. “Oda had surgery for a heart defect when she was only one day old. It was a traumatic experience for her and us as parents. For me, the ruby ring is a symbol of everything we have been through, and the great love I have for her.”

For her twins, Lulu and Babette, she chose a Double Star Ring with two diamonds. “The diamonds represent their unique, yet intertwined destinies. Although they are two individuals, they are also inseparable. They are identical twins and shared a placenta and amniotic sac while they were in my womb,” she says. “I love looking at the ring and being reminded of how lucky I am that I had two at once.” Both rings are engraved with their names, making them even more personal and meaningful.

“In addition to the two ‘children's rings’, I also have my family ring. It is the Lyra ring, which has five diamonds, symbolising the number of us in the family. In this way, my partner will also become part of my jewellery - even though he hasn't proposed to me yet,” Line says with a laugh.

All the others

In addition to the family rings, Line also has other rings. Line is probably a little influenced by her profession and can't get enough of beautiful rings, she says. “Some of the rings I make, I become so crazy about them that I have to own them. The Shooting Star ring is definitely my favourite. It was one of the first organic rings I made, and I just think it works. It can do everything a ring should be able to do - it shines, you can wear it every day, it's beautiful, but not too beautiful, and it just goes with everything,” Line explains. In addition, Line also wears a Grand Shooting Star, a Milky Way with 20 diamonds, and a Bell May Ring.

A new favourite

After many years without wearing necklaces, Line has found a new favourite in her Grand Letter necklace, which she now never leaves home without. This necklace adds an extra layer of elegance to her summer look, while also being practical and not getting in the way. “In the long run, I think I'll have a letter added for each of my children's initials.”

Something extra

“If we are going somewhere nice - for dinner or a wedding, I love to dress up my outfit with a white pearl necklace. For everyday wear, I can't stand having so much around my neck, so it is primarily for slightly dressier occasions. I especially love our beautiful Betty pearl necklaces with Akoya pearls and our long Ester pearl necklace with pearls in different sizes.”

Creativity and inspiration

Line creates high-quality jewellery using only the finest materials. The jewellery is classic, but with a twist. “In my work as a jewellery designer, I balance between creative chaos and structure. Right between chaos and structure, a synergy arises, and the best creations come to life,” Line says. She draws inspiration from the small details of life, such as a colourful door or a flower she encounters on her way. After having children, she has also become more inspired to make jewellery that leaves room to symbolise the love between people. She wishes to highlight these little quirks in her jewellery, to give her customers a happy feeling.

Everyday joy in high quality

Line's philosophy is that the jewellery should be able to be worn every day and not just for special occasions. “I want my customers to be able to wear my jewellery every day. It doesn't have to be something you put on for special occasions. My jewellery should be able to be worn, and that is what it is designed for,” Line concludes.
